57% of Streaming-Only Users Are Mainly Motivated By Price

Video streaming is a one-way video transmission similar to broadcast TV; and in this instance, data from a platform's video files is continuously conveyed to the viewer via the Internet. So why is it that so many people only watch streamed sources for their video entertainment? - Well, the answer, according to well over half (56.9%) of research respondents, is quite simply: the price. - This discovery came to light from the recent "BroadbandNow 2019 US Internet, TV & Phone Shopping Study," commissioned by the renowned ratings company, BroadbandNow [1].
  
Taking a Closer Look at the Research Results

BroadbandNow's MD, John Busby, remarked that: "Streaming TV customers are more motivated by the total cost of service, than customers of traditional TV products” [1]. Moreover, as streaming television [such as OONA Free Mobile TV], does not mean having to be shackled to a particular address, these purchasers were far less inclined to state that their main reason for selecting streaming TV was 'moving address' [1].

Busby also pointed out that just: “8% of streaming TV purchasers listed their primary reason as 'they did not already have the service.' This means that most customers in the market already have a streaming TV service” [1]. Further, when compared to users who have pay TV, or a combo of streaming and pay TV: the level of satisfaction was higher for streaming-only consumers. Those who have cable came out as the least satisfied [1].

With regard to consumers who changed or brought TV services last year, Busby also noted that: “cord-cutters who used streaming TV exclusively, were more satisfied than those who purchased traditional cable or satellite TV” [1].
